What is a lifestyle newborn session ?
Lifestyle newborn photography differs from the traditional definition of lifestyle in that these sessions are guided and planned while keeping true to the raw emotion & connection of the newborn session.
I capture the in-between moments while providing plenty of guidance on posing & positioning to create the most relaxed experienced for your family.
What do you provide for the newborn session? Will there be props ?
All that you will need for your photo session is your baby!
I will bring neutral swaddle wraps, cozy little newborn outfits, bonnets, & baskets to capture newborn portraits in. I am always adding to my collection of things to make your session unique.
While you do not need anything but your baby for the session here are somethings you can add to make it more personal!
A name plate, special outfit or a
bow/bonnet for baby. All of which I'm guessing you might already have on hand!
Does the newborn session have to be in my home?
Short answer, no.
BMP is now offering a beautiful natural light filled studio available for all of my newborn families.
However unless your house is just terribly dark and lacking a lot of natural light, I truly believe these sessions are special because they take place in YOUR space! It's apart of the magic and I promise you don't need a Pinterest style home or even a spotless one. I will send plenty of tips in my client prep guide to put you at ease!
What is provided for my milestone session?
A milestone session is a special photoshoot that focuses primarily on your little one and their new milestone! Eg: sitting, crawling, 6 months, first birthday. I am truly a believer of "less is more" and hold more of a minimalist approach to capturing these sessions so that the focus is on your little one.
I do not provide extensive set ups, wardrobes (at the moment), accessories, or food for these sessions.
I do have an antique highchair, a teepee, and a milk bath tub that can be utilized for your session along with a variety of cake stands.
My base price includes everything listed above at no additional cost but I love when my client bring a vision that we can bring to life together!
